This is an excellent site to do research on birds for your area. It contains a database for all Canadian birds, their habitats and migratory patterns. Pictures are available for most birds.

eNature - http://enature.com/guides/select_birds.asp I have used this site so much when I've studied birds with students. The visuals and audio files are so awesome. I've had students try to "represent" the birds' calls, and develop their auditory memory by playing recall games with these audio files.
